Child Services Checks Up on Tiger Woods

The Florida Department of Children and Families stopped by the Tiger Woods residence on Friday for a quick “check.” They said the visit was prompted by a complaint, though no further details about that complaint are being released.
According to the Department, such checks are routine after a complaint has been made. They look after the safety and well-being of adults and children both.

BREAKING NEWS: Tiger Woods Takes Indefinite Hiatus from Golf

I guess the paparazzi can stop staking out the golf courses.
In a statement just posted on his website, Tiger Woods says he’s going to be taking an indefinite leave of absence from his sport:
I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try.
I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What’s most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.
After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.
Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.

Jessica Simpson Dating Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan

Jessica Simpson is dating Billy Corgan.
The 29-year-old singer/actress is said to have “fallen hard and is smitten” with the 42-year-old Smashing Pumpkins singer since they started “officially dating” some months ago. Unfortunately, her friends don’t exactly approve.
“They think he’s too old for her. No one takes any of her boyfriends seriously anymore because she has had so many. They’re sick of all of them being ‘The One,’” a source told E!.
The pair were first romantically linked in November when they met at a party in Los Angeles.
“She has completely fallen for Billy and his easygoing, smart attitude. She says she wants to take things a lot further,” a source added. “She had secretly been crushing on him for months and felt there was a connection at the party. As the night went on things got more intense and they talked with their faces just inches apart.”

Country sensation Taylor Swift shocked the paparazzi last night when she stepped out with a striking new style. The straightened locks were most likely the result of a photo shoot she had twittered about earlier in the day.
Although I wouldn’t advise the 19-year-old to give up her signature curls altogether (remember what happened to Keri Russell on Felicity?), I’m really loving the (temporary) change. What do you think?

VH1 reality star Tila Tequila is reportedly engaged to Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson. And I thought that she’d never find love!
Very publicly displaying her ring and affection for her fiancé (video after the jump), Tila seemed a little too excited to spill the details (save who proposed to whom) while Casey kept silent and hesitated with a kiss for the paparazzi. The explanation boils down to three possibilities: it’s a huge cry for publicity; Tila had too much tequila; or it was just Tila… being Tila.
To further cement the news, Tila Tweeted about the engagement: “Yes it’s true! I am 100% Engaged to my beautiful Fiance Casey Johnson, Heir of the Johnson & Johnson empire! & YES Im pregnant VERY SOON!”

A staggering thirteen women are now linked to golfer Tiger Woods, all of them alleged to have had affairs with him at some point during his five-year marriage.
Porn star Joslyn James (whose actual name is Veronica Siwik-Daniels) is the latest to be linked to the superstar athlete, though she personally has not stepped forward to confirm or deny the rumors.
Tiger Woods has said very little to answer to all the claims of infidelity, releasing only one rather ambiguous statement in which he apologized for “transgressions.”
